April 18th Stony Brook Night Hike
Class B Uniform – Activity Bead

The Pack Committee has reserved the evening of Friday, April 18 with Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary for our Second Annual Scout Night Hike. Pack 100 has 75 slots for this program. If we have a few more than 75 on the day of the hike, they will accommodate us, but we need an adult/child headcount breakdown for this event as soon as possible.

Scout Night Hikes are open to Scouts of all ages (and siblings 6+ years old). Scouts explore the trails at night with Stony Brook guides and learn how their eyes and the eyes of animals adjust to the dark. Dress for the weather, and no flashlights.

May 2nd Pack Meeting – Crossover
This pack meeting is where all the ranks crossover into the next program year. Tigers, you will be from this day on known as “Bears”. Each scout will receive their new book, neckerchief, and slide.

In May, we will begin to work on our next rank – BEAR! This month will be fun, I have some outdoor related activities planned!

May 7th Den Meeting

May 14th Den Meeting – Last one until September!

May 18th Memorial Day Parade
The scouts of Pack 100 march in the Memorial Day Parade every year. We meet at the Middle School around 12 or 1PM, and step off is usually 2 PM. The scouts march from the middle school to the common for the activities down there. Parents can meet the children there or arrangements can me made ahead of time to make sure everyone gets to participate.

May 31st Pack 100 Camporee and Field Day
This is held at Arcand Park every year. We have activities, such as fishing, hikes, games, BBQ, campfire, and those that would like to can sleep over in a tent! Arcand park has restrooms that will be open for the entire time we are there. The pack provides dinner and snacks. We will circulate a list of suggested sleepover stuff.

June 7th Chuck Wagon Derby
This is an event that is sponsored and held by the Seven Rivers District of Old Colony Council, BSA. It is a lot of fun, with many activities that incorporate scout craft in an outdoor setting. And yes, we get to take the Pack 100 Chuck Wagon! For those of you would like to, you can also sleep over in tents for the night. We will plan to have a supper meal, campfire and smores etc. It is a lot of fun, and the boys love it! More details to follow…

At this point, our formal program year ends, except for our summer time activities. We usually plan 5 activities for the summer that you and your scouts can attend, and will be co-ordinated by the pack. They are informal in nature, and sometimes we are there as a group, but sometimes it is just you and your family.

The details will be published on the Website and in our newsletter, hopefully by our next Pack meeting, March 28th, so that you can plan ahead etc. For those boys that attend at least 3 of 5 events, they can earn the Summer Time Pack Award which will be presented at the September Pack meeting. I depend on you to let me know if your son is able to do this ahead of time, so I make sure he gets his award.
